Woundlocal is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team in Boerne. As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, backing up to Payroll, and ensuring the overall financial health of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare bank deposits.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assist in preparing for audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Communicate with management regarding financial performance and discrepancies.

Start Date: Immediate

Schedule:

  • No less than 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Work Location: In person at the Boerne office (no remote work)

Pay: Comp package $25.00 - $34.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties, Responsibilities, and Compensation will be adjusted to the individual hire's experience level and expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Training and experience: At least 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
