Abbott Interfast is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Purchasing Manager to lead our purchasing team and drive the procurement strategy for our fastener manufacturing operations. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring material availability to meet production demands. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance evaluations, and negotiate contracts that meet company objectives
  • Coordinate with production and engineering departments to forecast material needs and ensure adequate supply
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and improvement
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding purchasing activities
  • Lead a team of purchasing specialists to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Report on purchasing metrics and key performance indicators to senior management
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management (Required)
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry and knowledge of fastener products is preferred
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a resident of the United States
