POSITION TITLE: Nurse Manager
PAY RANGE: $159,993-$164,985 annually
REPORTS TO: Chief Nursing Officer
The Nurse Manager performs key responsibilities and meets position requirements as outlined in the hospital’s RN job description. In addition to RN duties, the Nurse Manager (NM) is responsible for unit operations, fiscal and staff management, managing patient care services and coordinating staff scheduling. The Nurse Manager will support and direct nursing staff assignments and facilitate communication with other disciplines, departments and community resources. This includes direct supervision of employees and conducting performance evaluations.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
The NM will pass initial and annual competency evaluations including (not limited to): suicide prevention, safe use of restraints, de-escalation interventions, medication knowledge, code blue/emergency interventions, infection prevention, and appropriate use of seclusion and restraints. The NM will need to complete additional competencies related to managing patient care, staffing systems, and internal reporting requirements.
The Nurse Manager has a high level of knowledge of Policies, Procedures, Unit Operations, Hospital Operations, Health Care Regulations and educates staff on key issues. The NM will demonstrate that, in addition to being competent, they are skilled in applying knowledge and competency in their daily nursing practice.
