We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to enhance the scalability, security, and reliability of our infrastructure, which powers mission-critical logistics solutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our platform’s evolution—driving automation, observability, and multi-tenant compute capabilities to ensure a seamless developer experience. This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering position with ownership over key initiatives, including infrastructure automation, platform security, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code – Manage and enhance our AWS-based infrastructure (ECS, RDS, Redshift, S3/MinIO, Elasticsearch) using Terraform to ensure scalability and maintainability.
- Platform Reliability – Maintain and optimize a highly available and secure platform, overseeing ECS orchestration, IAM policies, and network configurations.
- Observability & Monitoring – Standardize and improve observability practices using New Relic, centralized test reports, and enhanced logging/tracing mechanisms.
- CI/CD & Developer Experience – Optimize build pipelines, enhance parallelism and retry mechanisms, and develop platform tooling to streamline deployment processes.
- Multi-Tenancy & Sandboxing – Design and implement dedicated sandbox environments for isolated tenant workloads, ensuring efficient testing and resource allocation.
- Security & Access Management – Enforce least-privilege principles, manage privileged access workflows via AWS Connect, and monitor security compliance.
- Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with Backend, Security, and QA teams to align platform capabilities with engineering needs and ensure seamless integration.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing – Guide mid-level engineers on platform best practices, infrastructure reliability, and tooling usage.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering.
- Deep expertise in AWS services such as ECS (Fargate), RDS (PostgreSQL), S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Hands-on experience in observability, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting (e.g., New Relic, ELK Stack).
- Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration principles.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Comfort working in secure, production-grade environments with compliance requirements (e.g., restricted access, least-privilege IAM roles).
- Experience in managing uptime, performance, and deployment reliability across distributed systems.
Nice to Have
- Experience with MinIO, Redshift tuning, and Elasticsearch scaling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Exposure to secure transport systems or logistics-heavy platforms.
- Knowledge of sandbox isolation strategies, flaky test analysis, and test reliability improvements.
Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.
