As a Senior Business Analyst, you will oversee business analysis, strategic planning, and operational coordination across our diverse portfolio. This is a high-impact role, where CEOs of portfolio businesses will rely on you for guidance and support — giving you the opportunity to make significant contributions across our ecosystem.

This role demands a hands-on leader capable of synthesizing market data, developing actionable business plans, and collaborating with multiple teams to achieve results. The position is based in Tatu City, Kenya; however, occasional travel to Nigeria, Ghana, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo will be required.

The daily tasks will include:

  •  Business Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and business sizing to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency. Develop comprehensive business plans and financial models to support strategic decision-making. Prepare presentations, reports, and dashboards for senior leadership and investors.
  •  Operational Management: Coordinate with business leaders to track progress, resolve challenges, and ensure alignment with group objectives. Develop and manage dashboards and KPIs to monitor operational performance. Foster cross-functional collaboration between teams to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.
  •  Strategic Oversight: Act as the primary liaison between portfolio businesses and the corporate finance team to align strategy with execution. Provide analytical support for new joint ventures, partnerships, and projects. Drive key initiatives to scale businesses and improve profitability.

Skills and experience:

  •  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  •  Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in business analysis, strategy consulting (preferably MBB), or operational management in dynamic, high-growth environments.
  •  Knowledge: Strong understanding of business planning, market research, and operational performance management. Experience in private equity-like environments, infrastructure, or multi-business operations is highly desirable.
  •  Technical Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and creating dashboards and KPIs. Proficiency in tools like Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  •  Leadership: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, work collaboratively with senior executives, and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  •  Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in English.
