Howard Financial is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budget forecasts, and reports. 
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct compliance audits and ensure adherence to GAAP principles.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with management to assess fiscal performance and develop financial strategies.
• Assist in improving financial management processes and systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. 
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within the team.
