Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract a Research Scientist to join our R&D Finished Dosage Forms team at Pharmathen’s Sapes premises.

As a Research Scientist you will provide high quality support in analytical development in a GLP environment. You will also participate in all stages of a new product development, through preparation and analysis of R&D formulations and scale up/registration batches.

More particularly:

What you’ll do:

  • Perform  the analyses to support all stages of product’s life cycle from development and stability to registration and post approval
  • Deliver, evaluate and interpret experimental analytical data
  • Compile, maintain, review and interpret analytical and statistical data.
  • Assist with the generating high quality technical documents required for method validation, stability, formulation and deficiency letters
  • Maintain all laboratory systems and follow relative, GMPS
  • Follow the rules as defined in the relevant EU and FDA guidelines
  • Adhere to safety and housekeeping requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • BSc Degree in Chemistry or relevant field /Technical institution degree
  • Master’s degree in chemistry or relevant field would be considered as an advantage.
  • Excellent communication in English language (writing & speaking)
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft office).

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Competent in analytical method development techniques (HPLC, GC, UV, IR etc) and analytical lab instrumentation
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and meet timelines
  • High team working spirit
