Job Description

QS4QS is looking for talented and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyors to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget and to the required standards. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee project costs, conduct feasibility studies, and provide valuable insights throughout the lifecycle of various construction projects.ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on detailed analysis and evaluation of drawings and specifications.Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis, advising on the financial viability of projects.Manage and advise on contractual matters, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing regular reports on financial status to stakeholders.Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.Assist in the preparation and submission of claims for additional costs and variations.Conduct site visits to assess progress, monitor quality, and ensure that work is completed to specification.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure successful project delivery.Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and regulations to provide informed advice to clients and team members. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.2-5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management, preferably in the construction industry.Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and market rates.Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.Good negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, RICS) is an advantage.Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed.
