Job descriptionOverviewWe are seeking a passionate and skilled, part time Cook to join our café team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our guests while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen. A friendly personality with a "can do" attitude is vital as you will be customer facing. Along with a flexible, positive approach to driving the business forward.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.Assist with meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the cooking process.Collaborate with café staff to ensure timely service and quality control of meals.Help in the planning and development of new menu items, contributing creative ideas to enhance the dining experience.Keep the kitchen area clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. RequirementsProven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or kitchen environment.Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and cleanliness.A passion for culinary arts and a desire to help create memorable dining experiences for guests.Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends as required by the business needs.Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hourJob Type: Part-timeSchedule:Weekend working requiredWork Location: In personExpected start date: 07/04/2025
