Job Title: Onshore Installation Manager

Location: Gabon, site TBN

We are seeking for an Onshore Installation Manager (OIM) to lead the safe and efficient management of all operations and projects on the assigned site. As a pivotal member of our operations team, you will serve as a critical point of accountability, ensuring the onshore installation operates smoothly while prioritizing the safety and well-being of all personnel and the surrounding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the safe and efficient operation of offshore facilities, ensuring strict compliance with safety, health, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Comply with Assala Energy's Health, Safety, Environment & Social Performance Policy, ensuring team compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain a proactive safety culture at worksites.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective execution of projects and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions clearly to stakeholders, fostering alignment and accountability.
  • Facilitate daily team meetings to review progress, align priorities, and coordinate tasks effectively.
  • Oversee the preparation and approval of project documentation, including installation plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Drive production targets, optimize performance, and minimize downtime to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Approve and manage emergency and urgent work orders, minimizing disruptions and maintaining operational continuity.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and reduce unit operating costs.
  • Ensure proper handovers of equipment post-maintenance, verifying operational readiness and documentation accuracy.
  • Manage the facility budget and monitor expenditures to achieve cost-effective operations within OPEX targets.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, promoting best practices and innovation in operational processes.
  • Build strong networks across maintenance, wells, and project teams to address challenges and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field with a strong production and maintenance content
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive relevant experience in Production engineering (Production, Maintenance and Production Technology)
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver complex projects on time and within budget, managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • In-depth understanding of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices in installation management.
  • Strong familiarity with operational integrity, asset management, and production optimization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams in high-pressure and multicultural environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Proven commitment to continuous improvement initiatives and driving best practices.
  • You’ll need to be comfortable speaking both English and French for this role
