Our client – one of Ireland’s leading Telco companies, is looking for a mid-level UX / UI Designer for a 12 month contract (with the possibility of permanent).
The ideal candidate will be based in Ireland as there is a requirement to attend the office in Dublin for one day per week.
This UX/UI Designer role is be responsible for the user experience and creative direction of the company website and also company apps. Our client is looking for someone with a focus on user-centered design and experience using their research and design skills to improve KPIs.
The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for delivering and managing:
● Best in class design UX and UI design across both desktop & mobile.
● Leading research activities e.g. stakeholder interviews, problem-framing workshops, research and analysis, user testing, etc
● Develop core UX assets (e.g. personas, user scenarios, customer journey maps, IA, wireframes and prototypes).
● Define, develop and refine the information architecture across all company digital platforms.
● Development of creative concepts and UI for the digital sites and apps.
● Responsible for bringing a user centric approach to the design, development and implementation of customer facing projects ensuring a consistent user experience.
● Managing multiple projects and deadlines, while keeping team updated and pre-empting any issues or delays
● Bring the brand to life digitally and support the positioning of online as the primary channel for both sales and service.
● Own the digital brand guidelines and design of all digital assets - leading designers and managing content editors.
● Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 and EU Accessibility Standards and best practise in implementation.
● Work closely with product owners & developers through the build and delivery of your designs.
● Liaising and communicating learnings and progress with senior commercial stakeholders and internal teams.
● You will work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders in an agile environment.
The successful candidate will have:
● 3 - 5 years relevant experience.
● Relevant third level design qualification e.g. Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Cyberpsychology or related disciplines.
● Top notch skills in UX and comfortable and competent in UI Design.
● Bring a user centred design approach to everything you do.
● Excellent problem solving, communication & presentation skills.
● Creative thinking, paired with strong analytical ability.
● Ability to hit the ground running and use own initiative on projects and research opportunities.
● Experience in a fast-paced environment (agency or otherwise)
● A strong team player comfortable in a multi-disciplinary delivery team.
● Expert knowledge of Figma & Adobe Creative Suite
● An online portfolio of research, personas, UX flows, experience maps, wireframes, prototypes and user testing.
● Experience leading user research and presenting findings through wireframing, personas and other HCI methods.
● Identify user problems and pain points through hands-on research and user testing.
● Be comfortable using available staff and resources to validate design decisions when users in the key demographic are not available.
● Comfortable working with and updating Figma design systems and asset libraries.
● Experience leading user research and presenting findings through wireframing, personas and other HCI methods.
● Keeps up to date with new and emerging design trends, comfortable with utilising AI tools, user research tools and plugins to improve workflow.
