Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Stress Engineer to join our team, specializing in structural analysis within the defence sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating, planning, leading, and delivering a variety of structural analysis work packages using both classical hand calculation methods and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools. This role requires SC Clearance and British nationality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Analysis: Estimate, plan, lead, and deliver a variety of structural analysis work packages using classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive technical reports, conveying complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Project Management: Manage structural analysis projects from initial requirements through to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of structural analysis with other project components.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of analysis processes and results, providing regular progress reports to project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in mechanical stress engineering, particularly within the defence sector.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools, and excellent communication skills.
- Security Clearance: Must be SC Cleared and a British National.
