AHS, a distinguished leader in luxury real estate development, is looking for a strategic and experienced Head of Planning to lead our planning department. In this vital role, you will be responsible for overseeing all planning activities for our luxury development projects, from initial concept through to final approval. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of planning regulations, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong background in the real estate sector.ResponsibilitiesLead the planning department, managing a team of planners and coordinators to deliver high-quality planning outcomesDevelop and implement strategic planning initiatives for luxury real estate projectsCollaborate with architects, designers, and other stakeholders to create innovative and sustainable development plansPrepare and submit planning applications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and local policiesEngage with local authorities, stakeholders, and community groups to navigate the planning processConduct feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate potential development opportunitiesMonitor local and national planning trends, regulations, and best practices to inform project strategiesAdvise the executive team on planning matters and risk managementEnsure timely processing and approval of planning applicationsManage the preparation of planning reports and presentations for stakeholdersLead negotiations with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to secure project approvals Bachelor's degree in Planning, Urban Design, or a related field; Master's degree is a plusProven experience as a Head of Planning or similar role in luxury real estate development (10+ years)In-depth knowledge of planning regulations, policies, and processesStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in planning software and project management toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholdersExperience in handling complex planning applications and negotiationsStrong understanding of sustainable development principles.Knowledge of local market conditions and community needs.
