HCB Widdows Mason is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Property team. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about property law and looking to support clients through various property transactions.Your key responsibilities will include:Managing client queries related to property transactions and maintaining clear communication.Providing updates to clients and ensuring the smooth progression of their matters.Opening and closing files in compliance with the firm’s AML and regulatory standards.Conducting thorough administrative tasks to support the team’s operations.Preparing and submitting quotes to clients and drafting completion statements.Reviewing and checking mortgage offers, preparing reports under supervision.Carrying out property searches online.Utilising the Land Registry portal to submit registrations and manage requisitions.Calculating Stamp Duty Land Tax and preparing relevant submissions.Assisting with billing, receipts, and payments for fee earners.Providing occasional reception cover as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Excellent administrative and organisational skills.Strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.Previous experience in a legal setting, particularly in property law, is preferred but not essential.
