What will you do as a Junior Observability Engineer?

You’ll monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance using modern observability tools. You’ll identify issues and collaborate with development teams to continuously improve applications and infrastructure.

📍 Location: Athens, Greece
📅 Start Date: May 2025
🕐 Full-time | 💼 Entry-Level
🌱 No prior experience required – we train you!

About the Role

Are you curious about how complex systems run at scale? Do you love solving puzzles, working with data, and uncovering hidden patterns? Join our Observability Academy and kickstart your career as a Junior Observability Engineer!

This is more than a job — it’s a paid training program designed to equip you with the skills and experience to thrive in the world of observability, monitoring, and site reliability engineering (SRE). Over the course, you'll receive hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world project experience. Upon successful completion, you’ll transition into a full-time Junior Observability Engineer role.

What You'll Learn & Do

  • Understand the fundamentals of observability: metrics, logs, traces, and events
  • Get hands-on with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ELK, and more
  • Learn how to build dashboards, configure alerts, and create monitoring pipelines to support proactive system health
  • Work on real-life projects involving system performance, uptime optimization, debugging, and incident response
  • Develop practical skills in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and threat detection fundamentals
  • Build a strong foundation in network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) and system administration (Linux, CLI tools, scripting)
  • Explore packet and traffic analysis using tools like Wireshark and tcpdump
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot live or simulated incidents using observability tools and real-world scenarios.
  • Develop problem-solving, incident response, and root cause analysis skills
  • Discover how observability integrates with DevOps, SRE, and cloud-native systems through hands-on labs, mentorship, and real-world simulations

Who You Are

  • A recent graduate or a final-year student (with a few courses / thesis pending) of Computer Science (or a STEM field)
  • Passionate about systems, infrastructure, or data
  • Curious, eager to learn, and not afraid to ask questions
  • Some exposure to Linux, scripting (e.g. Bash, Python), or cloud concepts is a plus – but not required
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

We will offer you a friendly and dynamic working environment, in which you can develop your skills and competencies and a workplace with a strong focus on values and work-life balance.

💡 Note: This is an entry-level academy program, so no formal tech experience is needed – just a great attitude and a willingness to learn!

Success is getting what you want, happiness is wanting what you get.
