The Role:

As the AP+ Group Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting processes within AP+. The role will see you ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements are produced and consolidated across the entire organisation. You will play a crucial role in providing insights to support decision-making at the group level.

Day to day, you can expect to:

  • Manage the month-end process, including reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting regulations.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Lead and oversee the annual audit process.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and initiatives.
  • Assist with the tax compliance process.
  • Identify and drive improvements in financial processes.
  • Support cross-functional projects across the business.
  • Prepare technical accounting papers for the Audit Committee and Board.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and prioritise the capabilities needed to meet current and future business needs.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • An Australian-recognised Accounting degree
  • A completed CA/CPA qualification
  • Experience in managing the month-end close process
  • Proven ability in mentoring, coaching, and leading teams
  • Hands-on experience in preparing financial statements
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards
  • In-depth understanding of internal controls
  • A mix of audit and commercial experience
  • Involvement in transformation and process improvement initiatives and projects
