We are seeking a motivated Financial Controller to join our Financial Controlling team part of our Finance General Division, based in Marousi Athens. This role will handle vital responsibilities in accounting, financial controlling, and financial planning and analysis for certain projects in the company's energy sector.

Your role will encompass:

  • Participates in the financial monitoring & analysis of Energy projects
  • Develops financial forecasts and models to project future financial business performance
  • Participates in the preparation of the annual budget & produces variance reports
  • Conducts gap analysis and sensitivity analysis
  • Manages accounting operations, coordinating with external advisors/ accountants
  • Optimizes financial processes to identify potential cost savings and support strategic decisions
  • Facilitates annual audits by working with external auditors, addressing inquiries efficiently
  • Liaising with other areas of the business to resolve any ad-hoc finance queries that may arise
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance

What you will bring to the role:

  • Academic background including a bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other appropriate academic major
  • More than 5 years of relevant working experience in an IFRS department at a large accounting firm or at a Finance department of an organization filing with IFRS
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (excel, word, PowerPoint) and Outlook applications, knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English and the ability to explain specialized concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work under tight timelines
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork mentality and able to pay attention to details
  • Strong organizing and planning skills, problem solving and analytical ability
