About the role.

As we embark on our ambitious digital transformation journey, we are searching for a proactive and knowledgeable Care & Support Digital Technology Officer to join our team. This position is crucial for enhancing our care delivery through digital innovation. You will lead the development and support of essential systems, including Sona Time-Management and our new care planning system, Nourish. Your collaboration with Care & Support staff will ensure these tools are effective and user-friendly.

We are looking for someone with practical experience in the Care sector who understands the complexities of Time-Attendance and Care Records systems, as well as their critical role in maintaining quality and compliance in service delivery.

Your contributions will help optimise operations, boost digital confidence among staff, and ultimately empower our teams to provide even better care to those we support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance for digital tools, including Sona Time-Management and Care Planning systems.
  • Collaborate with Care & Support teams to assess staff digital skills and create tailored training tools.
  • Act as the primary contact for C&S system-related queries, troubleshooting, and escalating complex issues to systems’ providers.
  • Manage the Digital Inbox, triaging queries and ensuring timely responses.
  • Assist in C&S systems testing, validation, and day-to-day administration.
  • Support data cleansing, migration, and maintenance to ensure accuracy in preparation to the Care Planning system (Nourish) implementation.
  • Develop user guides, FAQs, and instructions’ materials to promote C&S digital adoption.
  • Liaise with the Digital Technology and Care & Support teams to align systems with organisational goals.

Requirements:

Essential (E):

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability and willingness to commute to the Outward London office (N17) up to five days per week, and to travel regularly to other Outward service delivery sites across North-East London as required.
  • Proven experience working in the Care & Support sector.
  • Strong IT background, with hands-on experience supporting the implementation and configuration of software systems.
  • Experience in providing system support and guidance to staff, including delivering training and producing user-friendly training materials.
  • Excellent understanding of care sector operational requirements, including shift planning, rota systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and managing cloud-based platforms (e.g. SaaS solutions).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and frontline care teams.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and a commitment to promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults.

Desirable (D):

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in IT, Digital Technology, or a related field
  • Level 3 Diploma in ICT Systems Support.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms and system configuration
  • Ability to assess and improve digital proficiency across a diverse workforce
  • Knowledge of Equality and Diversity principles and their application in the workplace
