We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Architect to lead the design and optimization of scalable cloud-based infrastructure and services. This individual will be instrumental in shaping the architecture, provisioning systems, and enhancing the overall performance, reliability, and security of our cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement robust, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Lead cloud strategy development aligned with business and technical objectives.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
• Analyze cloud usage patterns and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Define and enforce security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Implement and manage cost-optimization measures including monitoring, rightsizing, and utilization analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration and delivery of cloud services.
• Streamline and manage IAM (Identity and Access Management) policies for effective access control.
• Optimize API management workflows and related costs through tools like Apigee or alternatives.
• Maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies for business continuity.
• Stay current with evolving cloud technologies and recommend improvements to cloud architecture and operations.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of total experience in Cloud Architecture, with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Professional certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent.
• Deep expertise in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
• Experience with GCP cost management tools like Pricing Calculator and Billing Reports.
• Strong grasp of cloud security principles and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in API management using tools like Apigee.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of microservices and serverless computing.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is preferred.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus.
