- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records using the company’s accounting system.
- Handle supplier correspondence, including addressing inquiries, following up on invoices, and ensuring timely communication.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing reports, verifying account balances, and supporting the finance team.
- Support order administration functions, such as order processing, record-keeping, etc.
- Provide general support to the finance department as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field advantageous.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role; experience within the telecommunications/IP industry highly regarded.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero required) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
