Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Actuarial Analyst to join our retirement team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the actuarial and administrative functions related to pension plans, retirement products, and other related services. This position involves performing complex calculations, analyzing data, programming models, and assisting in the preparation of reports that inform strategic decision-making. You will work collaboratively with a team of actuaries, pension consultants, and pension administrators to provide valuable information and insights for our clients.

Report Preparation:
Assist with the preparation of detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies, summarizing findings and recommendations.
Regulatory Compliance:
Model Development:
Research and Development:
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and actuarial techniques; support the development of innovative solutions to meet client needs.
Collaboration:
Work closely with senior actuaries, consultants, and other departments to support client engagements and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate on special projects as directed.

Respond to inquiries from clients and plan members regarding data and pension administration, providing clear and accurate information.

Qualifications and Attributes
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience & Education:
1-3 years of relevant work experience in the pension field preferred
Coursework toward the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation is highly desirable and will be considered an asset.

Progress toward actuarial certification (Society of Actuaries and Canadian Institute of Actuaries) with 2+ exams passed is preferred.

This role will close April 21st, 2025. Successful completion of a cleared criminal background check is required.
