Your Role as an Accounts Payable Associate 

As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and efficiency of our client’s organization. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Invoice Processing: Accurately review and process incoming invoices, ensuring all necessary approvals and documentation are in place.  

• Vendor Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.   

• Expense Reconciliation: Reconcile invoices and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.  

• Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments to vendors while adhering to payment schedules.   

• Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion.  

• Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions in our financial system.   

• Reporting: Generate reports related to accounts payable activities for review by management.  

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.   

• Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency. 

What We’re Looking For 

Must-Have Qualifications 

• A degree in finance or a related field is a plus.  

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.   

• Proficiency in Xero and MS Excel.  

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.   

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.  

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.   

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.  

• Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
