What’s the role?
The Accounting Manager will manage the Accounting Function within the Finance department and is responsible for all areas relating to accounting and reporting across - Reporting Cycle, Planning & Reporting, Business Support, and Control and Compliance. They are also expected to:
- Develop strategies to ensure effective planning, preparation, and execution of the Company’s internal and external reporting cycle
- Provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and local GAAP in Sweden & Norway.
- Reviews the setup of new country business models, mindful of local in-country obligations (registration, customs, bonds) in conjunction with Tax, Compliance and Legal.
- Identifies and highlights key accounting, finance and cash flow matters to the FC to maximize profitability and cash within risk tolerances.
- Validate the set-up of new parties on the system (vendor and customers).
- Closely coordinates with the Finance Controller and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), to ensure an effective accounting finance function, supporting the main business activities.
- Ensure business is conducted in accordance with regulations, and in compliance with Group policies on Ethics, Internal Control, Financial Security, Accounting rules and policies Debt Covenants.
Who are we looking for?
- Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent qualification would be a plus
- 8+ years’ experience in accounting transactions and operations with at least 2 in a managerial position
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented and demonstrates a “can-do” positive attitude
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
- Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Experience working in a multi-national company
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI
- Knowledge of Dynamics365 would be a plus
