The Accounting Manager is responsible for a small staff and a variety of bookkeeping and accounting functions including managing payables, receivables, payroll, and the accounting period close.
Responsibilities and Duties
Accounts Payable
- Ensure vendor invoices have valid approvals and are properly recorded
- Transmit and record payments
- Reconcile statements and ensure timely communication with vendors
- Review, process expense reimbursements to employees
Payroll
- Provide payroll data and forms to local payroll provider
- Book payroll and relevant charges to the corresponding general ledger
- Manage distribution of payments and adjustments, as necessary
- Interface with Global Payroll Manager and advise on current operational issues
Month-End, Year-End Close
- Create month-end accounting entries
- Review and approve entries created by local accounting team
- Reconcile balance sheet and Philippines bank account
- Assist with year-end close of all company books
General & Other
- Manage and review work of local accounting personnel
- Lead statutory audit, as required
- Maintain accounting records
- Manage local banking relationship
- File payroll and other local taxes
- Provide back-up support to Controller and other accounting personnel
- Perform clerical and other related duties as required
- Forward thinking pro-active mindset

- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct financial software, preferred
- Impeccable mathematics and analytical skills
- Able to meet tight deadlines
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Certification a plus
- 5+ years’ financial accounting experience, preferably in BPO industry
