SUMMARY
Prince Industries is currently seeking an Accountant to join our team. They will work under the guidance of the Accounting Manager and will focus on a variety of duties including month end closing, fixed assets, payroll entries, and audit reporting. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can dive into financial data, troubleshoot issues, and resolve discrepancies with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for month end close for multiple divisions.
- Preparing journal entries
- Bank reconciliations
- Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliation
- Maintain fixed asset entries and monitor depreciation
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making
- Assists with inventory counts
- File various government reports and process sales and use tax.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
- Back up for A/P invoice entry and A/R cash receipts application.
- Daily invoicing of shipments, including international invoices on demand.
- Apply cash receipts and payable invoices into accounting software.
- Prepares the daily sales report and distributes it to appropriate personnel.
- Operating in Excel daily for documentation.
- Utilizing ERP system.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work on a variety of tasks daily with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written in a professional manner.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the company and with customers.
- Excellent computer skills including payroll software, ERP systems and Microsoft office suite.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Keeps all personnel information confidential and private.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and/or payroll.
- Experience in manufacturing or machining is preferred.
- Epicor experience is preferred.
