Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Component Sourcing Specialist to join their team. This role focuses on sourcing and procuring high-quality packaging components such as jars, lids, pumps, and other related materials essential for their product lines. The ideal candidate will have experience managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing cost-efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and engage with suppliers for packaging components including jars, lids, pumps, and other related packaging materials.
• Maintain and grow strong relationships with existing and potential vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to secure competitive rates and optimal quality.
• Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., product development, operations, quality control) to understand specific packaging requirements and timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast component requirements to avoid delays or shortages.
• Conduct regular market research to stay updated on innovative packaging solutions and industry trends.
• Ensure all sourced components comply with brand's sustainability and quality standards.
• Oversee and resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly, minimizing disruption to production schedules.
  

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, ideally within packaging or cosmetics industries.
• Proven ability to source high-quality components (plastic jars, lids, pumps, etc.) effectively.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with inventory and procurement software systems.
• Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly packaging solutions preferred.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Experience using Netsuite, Excel or Google Sheets
