Job Title: Business Development Associate

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM EST

Overview:

This role sits within the growth marketing team, reporting to the Senior Manager - Business Development and is an excellent opportunity for a driven, analytical marketer with strong problem solving and communication skills. You’ll get to own the Partnerships channel, collaborate with exciting brands across the country and support the rapid scale of our other offline channels all while having fun contributing to the success of this fast growing venture.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify, negotiate, and secure customer acquisition partnerships with other

like-minded pet and non-pet brands to enhance our market presence and

reach new customer segments.

  • Conceptualize and execute joint initiatives, from ideation, to negotiation and

contracting to design, while ensuring seamless execution to drive customer

acquisition.

  • Be a thought partner as well as support to scale multiple rapidly growing offline

marketing channels by managing reporting, agency coordination, logistics.

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential partnership

opportunities. Utilize these insights to propose innovative partnership strategies that

align with our growth objectives.

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring mutual benefits

and long-term collaboration. Act as the main point of contact, managing

communication and coordinating joint activities.

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate the success of partnership initiatives. Monitor

performance data, analyze results, and optimize strategies to maximize impact and

ROI.

  • Work closely with internal teams across CRM, Operations and the wider client

group to integrate partnership activities into broader marketing strategies and

leverage best practices from other internal brands.

Qualifications:

  • A dog person through and through.
  • Degree or concentration in Marketing, Business or Economics and track record of

excellent grades.

  • 2-4 years of work experience in sales, partnership management, growth marketing or

business development.

  • Skilled communicator with a knack for building and maintaining relationships.
  • Analytical and know how to create straightforward business cases to justify your ideas.
  • Equipped with basic knowledge of excel formulas and can calculate marketing metrics

such as CAC and campaign ROI.

  • Entrepreneurial and have experience finding creative solutions to solve problems

head-on. 

  • You’re always looking for business ideas and have started (or want to start) a

business of your own.
