Overview
The BDR will play a critical role in driving new revenue opportunities and pipeline growth. This role involves leveraging sales and marketing automation platforms, engaging prospective customers, and collaborating closely with the Sales and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate will be skilled in relationship-building, using insights from marketing analytics, and adept at navigating modern sales technology platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and reach out to potential clients through phone calls, emails, and social media to build a steady pipeline of qualified leads.
- Assess prospects’ needs, determine their fit, and pass them on to the appropriate sales channels—while assisting in guiding opportunities toward closure.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to support and, when appropriate, take ownership of final negotiations to secure new business.
- Keep lead, contact, and opportunity records accurate and up to date, ensuring data integrity and effective follow-up.
- Partner with Marketing to align on campaign efforts, share market feedback, and refine targeting strategies.
- Experiment with various outreach sequences and messaging tactics; analyze response rates to optimize engagement efforts.
- Track and evaluate key performance indicators related to prospecting, engagement, and deal outcomes to inform ongoing improvements.
- Foster genuine connections with prospects by understanding their pain points, suggesting relevant solutions, and clearly outlining next steps in the buying journey.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 3 years of experience in a BDR, Sales Development Representative (SDR), or similar role.
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency using HubSpot (CRM and marketing automation).
- Experience with Apollo for outbound prospecting, email sequencing, and sales analytics.
- Familiarity with charm.io or similar lead enrichment tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with a knack for distilling complex ideas into clear, concise messages.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
- Results-driven, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding lead-generation targets.
- A self-starter who enjoys learning, adapting to new tools, and finding creative ways to engage prospects.
